Currently there are 14 out of the 51 states that has legalized the use of Medical Marijuana

Fourteen states have enacted laws that legalized medical marijuana:

Alaska: approved the use of Medical Marijuana in 1998. To acquire a Medical Marijuana card the fee is $20-25. The possession limit is 1 ounce (useable); and 6 plants (3 mature & 3 immature). Stay within those ramifications and you won't be breaking the law.

California: enacted its law legalizing the use of Medical Marijuana in 1996. To gain a Medical Marijuana card the fee is $33-66. The possession limit for the civilians are 8 ounces (useable); an 18 plants (6 Mature & 12 immature)

Colorado: The law legalizing the use of Medical Marijuana was approved in 200. The fee to obtain a Medical Marijuana card is $90. The possession limit in Colorado is 2 useable ounces; and 6 plants (3 mature & 3 immature).

Hawaii: Legislation legalizing Medical Marijuana was passed in Hawaii in the year 2000. The fee to get a Medical Marijuana card is $25. The possession limit if you live in Hawaii is 3 ounces (useable) and you can have up to 7 plants ( 3 mature & 4 immature)

Maine: The state of Maine legalized the use of Medical Marijuana in 1999. The fee to gain a Medical Marijuana card wasn't listed, but the possession limit is 2.5 ounces and 6 plants.

Michigan: The state of Michigan passed the legalization of Medical Marijuana in 2008. The fee to get a Medical Marijuana card in Michigan is $25-100. The possession limits for Michigan is 2.5 ounces and 12 plants.

Montana: The state of Montana passed legalization of Medical Marijuana in the year 2004. The fee to obtain a Medical Marijuana in Montana is $10-25. The possession limit in Montana is 1 ounce and 6 plants.

Nevada: Medical Marijuana use in Nevada was legalized in 2000, you gotta pay $150 to obtain a Medical Marijuana card and your possession limits are 1 useable ounce & 7 Plants (3 mature & 4 immature)

New Jersey: Recently a couple months back New Jersey has legalized the use of Medical Marijuana this year. The fee for a Medical Marijuana card is unknown to my knowledge, but the possession limit is 2 ounces and no plants!

New Mexico: In 2007 Medical Marijuana was passed in New Mexico. There is no fee to acquire a Medical Marijuana card in New Mexico however the Possession limit is 6 ounces and 16 Plants ( 4 mature & 12 immature)

Oregon: Medical Marijuana was legalized in the year of 1998 for Oregon. The fee for Medical Marijuana cards is $20-100. Oregon has one of the most lovely possession limits as opposed to the other states, you can have up to 24 ounces and 24 plants (6 Mature & 18 immature)

Rhode Island: The home of the Griffin's from Family Guy legalized the use of Medical Marijuana in 2006. Fee's to obtain a Medical Marijuana card can range from $10 to $75 depending on your situation. The possession limit for Rhode Island is 2.5 ounces and 12 plants.

Vermont: In 2004 Vermont legalized the use if Medical Marijuana. To obtain a Medical Marijuana card is $50. Your possession limits are 2 ounces and 9 plants (2 mature & 7 immature)

Washington: Use of Medical Marijuana was passed in 1998 for the state of Washington. No state registration has been set yet so there is no fee for a Medical Marijuana card at the moment. Washington is another state with another lovely possession limit, you can possess up to 24 ounces and have 15 plants!
